It's funny how people feel the need to point out grammatical mistakes whenever they can't argue against the core thesis of a statement like this.
But... for the sake of it:
International Pay-TV stations, streaming networks and all kinds of companies involved in acquiring UEFA licenses in order to sell licensed products pay their fees to UEFA years (!!) before actual UCL seasons take place. Same goes for long-term / exclusive advertizers like Coca Cola, Sony, adidas, etc.
UEFA have all that money in their pockets long before the actual participants of a certain UCL season (like the upcoming 17/18 season) are determined, so they couldn't care less whether eventually it's United or Ajax winning EL and thus qualifying.
That's why your initial argument of UEFA losing subscribers (they don't have direct subscribers anyway) is flatout bullshit you made up in order to make your club look more important.
Same goes for arguing that teams can't have a certain core for several years, but need to spend shitloads oft money to stay competitive.
Barca in their prime, dominating all sorts of competitions? --> great core, selective improvements whenever they saw fit
Current Real Madrid? --> stable core, very specific improvements
Bayern a few years ago? --> strong core, position-specific improvements
Manchester United in their late prime? --> You should know lol
Atletico's rise to La Liga Champions & regular UCL-semis? --> strong core, selectively strengthened by single transfers
Juventus? --> Same core for years
Having to spend hundreds oft millions of £ each transfer window? --> just shows the club failed to build such a strong core / scouts failed to find fitting & good additions to the squad / coach failed to properly work with the player material he was given.
