thanks man, it is a great result indeed, i'm very happy (although our overall record vs. frankfurt in bundesliga matches is really good i think) - still, we're fighting relegation, need every point and to win a derby gives additional confidence...

well sure, you can very often see that effect when there is a new coach. but the important thing is HOW we played. and that's the major difference. under hjulmand, out first 9 bundesliga matches had lots of great results, we were as high as 4th place at some time iirc.
but i always said i don't like how the team is playing and that our luck is gonna run out and the stupid style is gonna be exposed and that's exactly what happened.

now, that one win today did not save us or anything, it'll still be hard work to avoid relegation but i'm much more confident with our new coach / old style...

it was good to see the "typical mainz" again, if i may call it so
positive meaning of course ;)

Mallorca 3 - 0 Osasuna

Finally a game like this. Everyone played perfectly and the victory was very well deserved :D

well, yes and no

last year we were much closer to relegation at this point, so it's good that we are far from it atm, but we were also 6 or so points away from the playoff zone because the league was much tighter last season (now we are 10 points away with 17 games to go, so we're going to need an almost perfect run to finish in the top 6).

How in the name of God did we lose yesterday? Vossen got knocked out and was rushed to hospital but is ok, and their keeper had a game that Manuel neuer would be proud of...

Never seen a team play so well and not score a goal. Just one of those days dude. Least most teams around you fucked up and only Derby won.

Would have been nice to still be top, but as long as we go up I don't care how!

Vossen is ok but on bedrest and may not feature Tuesday with a concussion... I was sat in the North stand, right near where Leeds scored, wish I saw a few more from the boys in red the second half.. One thing I'm not sure if was mentioned is how bright the sun was from the north stand... I had shades and had to still squint and use the old flattened hand technique to get visibility

Wolfsburg are a great team... Can't really argue with a loss there... Still got a load of good teams to play? How do the other fixtures look?

and our last games are against the stronger teams
the table is still close but we are just playing bad football in all games
next 4 games are against augsburg stuttgart schalke and hamburg - if we lose against hamburg and stuttgart we wont make it
