Nothing wrong with that.

Sure, if you want all of your players hating you that is a great idea.

He had normal training sessions for christmas. (early morning) but then he wasn't happy with last weekends game and planned this. Sure enough this will give trouble, as it should. If a complete team doesnt show, what will the trainer/coach do? Bench all of them? Good luck explaining that to the board.

The players are professionals and will show up and willingly train ofc, but it's very questionable if this is a good idea or not. Is it beneficial to have those extra 2-3 hours of training when your players are going to be naturally distracted and wanting to be with their friends and family? I really don't think so. We're already at a point of the season where players are already fit and are supposed to know what to do on the pitch. Training and match preparation is still very important ofc, but keeping the group focused, happy and motivated is more important and I really don't think that screwing with their family time is the right thing (especially now that they are beginning to deliver results... this can almost feel like a punishment).

A good chance to build a bit of momentum, not sure about the defence though - would rather have Darmian as a full back.

In other news, Schneiderlin is close to leaving for Everton apparently, not sure why Jose doesn't like him - perfect 433 player to play in the middle of midield three.
