Sir Alex Ferguson is the best manager of all time and it's not even close. His success will never be matched.

I think United fans were so used to winning with SAF they just expected it to continue under a new manager. The last few years has been a tough wake up call, the stature of your club does not give you an automatic right to be in the top 4 or win trophies. Look at Liverpool.

I'm not saying he is or isn't the best.. I am just stating a fact that any manager right now would get fired with the results he had....

you have a point there actually, in the past there was much more patience with managers and players
nowadays...everything has to work immediately

Ferguson was always able to win with any team, thats what made him great. Also, I see the board giving him patience, for a total of 3 years, after that he may be sacked.
