His last 'good' season was the dreadful Moyes campaign. Now its just bits and pieces of his former self tbh (see: solo run in FA cup final to cross for the tying goal when he randomly remembered how to run foward attacking with his head up like the good old days)

3/4 years before that he was pretty class. Never really regained it after being hurt in the UCL in 2010 tbh.

Wayne will bounce back, he's way too young to decline so rapidly, he just needs to get that anger he used to have. That aggression drived him to get shit done, guess after you become a father you become softer.

Some players decline before others. Raúl began to decline in 2004 at age 27 and that made Madrid pretty much play with one player less for the next 6 years (half that time also for the national team). He still had the occasional form recovery (had a good run under Capello in the 06/07 season and during Juande Ramos' short spell), but he never managed to play well consistently during a full season and was invisible 90% of the time. Moving to Schalke helped him step up again, but that only lasted for a year.

Also look at Torres... under Cholo he has improved again, but he declined massively at age 26 and has never been the same.
