He good qualities and potential, but there's one thing that ruins everything for me: he struggles to remain concetrated for 90 minutes. Almost every game he makes a mistake because he is too relaxed or absent minded, resulting in him making a wrong decision or being taken by surprise. Usually the mistake is corrected by someone else in the team or the oppostion ends up blowing their chance away, but when that doesn't happen the team concedes a goal (the Bale goal is the most famous one, but there are more examples).
