Manchester United players told Bastian Schweinsteiger to stop watching tennis and get fit when the Germany star was out injured last season.
Sportsmail understands a group of furious senior Old Trafford stars, fed up with seeing pictures of their team-mate watching his now-wife Ana Ivanovic as they laboured towards a fifth-place finish, approached the World Cup winner to make their feelings clear.
Outcast Schweinsteiger was informed in no uncertain terms that members of the squad were tired of seeing him globe-trotting while they thought he should have been concentrating on his recovery in Manchester.

Mourinho has worked out that Schweinsteiger’s legs can no longer keep up with his brain. The midfielder’s performances symbolised last season’s dreariness at Old Trafford and you might recall some killer detail after Louis van Gaal’s sacking about how little time Schweinsteiger apparently spent in Manchester. Schweinsteiger was injured in January and had a tendency to return to Germany, flying in for United’s matches then straight back out again. It went down badly in the dressing room, to say the least. “Taking the piss,” was one description.
lol'd at bayern fan. i like buyern as much as the sub likes chelsea11. its certainly funny how the german media treats the case. acting like schweinsteiger is some kind of angel, and mou/united is the devil. schweinsteiger might be a bayern legend, that doesn't make him a legend at united.
it was bayern in the 1st place that decided to get rid of him, not giving him the the money/contract he wanted. that is pretty well reported.
