Oh, the whole story is much worse...
Gio had an agreement with Valencia (which also equalized Villarreal's bid) but he was sold to Villarreal against his will forced by Serra Ferrer, because Villarreal said that if they got Gio they'd also buy Pina in the lot. Now, Pina is a young talented homegrown DM/CM that you wouldn't want to sell in the first place, escpecially since the club is in a decent financial situation and, now that most of the players agreed to reduce their wages, only needed to sell Gio. But no, Serra Ferrer is beyond retarded and forces our star player to sign for our biggest rivals and pointlessly sells one of our best players with him.
But it doesn't end here. Villarreal was invited to the "Trofeo Ciudad de Palma", which is a preseason friendly we havehere right before the season starts and we have a little party and officially introduce the season's team to the fans, etc.
Of course everybody fumed, because it's beyond outrageous. Seeing how everyone reacted the club canceled the invitation.
As a manager Lorenzo Serra Ferrer relegated us the last time in the early 90s, now once he took control of most of the shares he releagted us again as board director after having spent 16 years in Primera. And he keeps feeding the club that has done the most shit to Mallorca, and even invites him to the bloody friendly ffs.
He's so useless and stupid it's as if he's doing it on purpose to laugh at us (he's not though, he really is that stupid and useless).
Man, I wish Villarreal signed him instead of our players.
He said he was happy to join the club he originally wanted to go to. Well if thata the case then that sucks.
