Mourinho is in many ways the same type of coach as Sir Alex was, you simply can't label him as being "defensive" or "offensive", the best way to simplify what he's doing is to simply call him a pragmatic.

In the first half of the season, he'll usually tend to let his players have more freedom, allow them to play an offensive and attacking style of football, while in the second half of the season, he'll start to stand back more, and hit his opponents with counter attacks and speed.
That's also the same story you'll see him utilize if you look back at his CL knock-out games, against bigger oppositions - A very good example is the same as someone in the british press ran a few days ago, of how he brought the Italian, Serie A-style game against Barcelona in the first leg, and then stood back and "parked the bus" in the 2nd leg.

Facts :
[x] barcelona had to travel by bus due to volcano eruption thing.
[x] Every team he has coached was destroyed right after his dismissal. He can't last more than 3 years coaching a team so kiss your long term plans goodbye. Utd post-mou is almost guaranteed to be far inferior to present day.

I've got the gypsy blocked, but let me guess- he's crying about that time when Inter came from 1 behind and destroyed fc barcelona at San Siro?
