Marcos Alonso is probably our most inform LB. Perhaps Lopetegui doesn't think he'd do as well outside the 5 man defense system. I do think he deserves it over Monreal based on form, but tbh I trust Lopetegui... all of his controversial decisions have worked out so far.



Well, he has apparently been tearing up the MLS. I guess it makes sense if you consider that 90% of our squad just got back from vacations while he has been playing regularly all summer.
