Not sure why I am just seeing this now but it is funny
I know how Del Piero is going to play until he is 55 now, by being a backup keeper rofl

As a child Del Piero was a goalkeeper until his brother pointed out his skill on the ball and he was convinced to play out, iirc

gz on the new stadium with all that mall stuff etc

but why only 41k seats? I mean, Juve is the team with the most fans in Italy or did it change that much in the past years?

the guy in charge of Juve's human resources told me in a seminar I went to that it's because Juve's fans aren't really passionate about going to stadiums. It's like that in most of Italy, but it seems to be worse in the case of Juve. The old Delle Alpi could hold slightly over 70k spectators, but they never managed to get over 66k (it was a CL semifinal vs RM), and the stadium was usually half empty even when they were very succesful, so they figured a smaller but well equiped stadium would be a better option.

dunno if it's true but generally people say it's because most italian stadiums haven't had a decent security for many decades and some tiofosi groups are dangerous to get close too, this and the high prices have made it cultural to not go to the stadiums very often.

41k that can easily be extended to 60k+
The majority of Torino residents and the surrounding area actually support Torino FC
However, most of Southern Italy/Sicily are Juventus fans, Italia's team
(including my father's home of Calabria where all my family comes from)

Pretty interesting
I mean looking at Juventus' earners:
Amauri, Iaquinta, Toni- none of these guys will be playing large roles with the team
