ah ok. well, what i saw of him was very solid. he played cb in europa league (and i think in primera division, too) except from one game against schalke game where he played dm. he won most of his challenges, seems to be a confident passer, decent header and hardly made mistakes - but he picked up some yellows here and there and in some situations he seemed rather slow imo...
i can't really say that he stood out... sure, as a cb that may be a good sign but overall i still think 40 M is too much for a very solid but not... well, overwhelming or one of a kind player... but i hope he proves me wrong...

agree
they payed double the market value, maybe even more. ridiculous overprice in my eyes.
never really got why 15 M for khedira/özil/vidal was too much back then. even fabregas' pricetag was just 35 M.

That's the kind of player bayern needs.
We'll see how he perfoms.

40M seems to be a bunch and i have to admit, that i dont know atm, how i feel about that.
Nevertheless, Bayern needs such a player and if he is just half as good as all the rumours, he will be 40M+ soon,
since a top team is an excellent platform to hype, especially Bayern ^^
Just look at the market values for Özil/Khedira now...although Özil has peaked off already xDD

Now bayern just need a good CB and they'll be at top.

We have Dante, Boateng and Badstuber to begin with ;)

There was that goal article about Bayern having bid 60 million € on Vidal and Marchisio earlier this transfer window^^

That would've been pretty sick though, Vidal is just amazing and I really like Marchisio, too

But there's no way that Juve would sell their whole central midfield, with Pirlo also getting old

I read that a couple of days ago, too. That was "plan b" xDD
Last season, there was no reliable backup to replace an injured Schweinsteiger.
Bayern needs a top midfielder, no doubt, so maybe u have to buy what u can get ^^

I thought Germany had loaned all of their money to Greece and the southern countries and now I see they've bought Javi Martinez for an overprice never matched. B)
