leaving sané out was ridiculous ofc, but that's far from the only thing löw messed up. his striker selection, his faith in certain players regardless of their performance, his tactical instructions that exposed our defence over and over and over again...
the man just has to go - that he hasn't been sacked already is shameful, that he might stay after this wc's performances nothing short of a disgrace...
Their approach to defending the counter was really poor considering the quality in that midfield
It did appear they lacked a lot of athleticism in that area though...Khedira def is not the same player he used to be
I can't fault your CBs for having a tough time on the counter since they were always so high on the pitch -- very hard to defend any speed threat defending with 2
The wing backs were no threat on offense -- while being out of place on the counter -- pretty much only handicapping the team
Agree the tactics were very bad

quite simple, because every wc coach trusting the old guys. and top of that löw's darling müller, özil and khedira playing no matter what. no wc coach has the balls to drop players that won a wc, unless these players retire from national team on their own. lahm was smart ^^
was surprised, löw dropped some for the 2nd game. but going back to old habits in the 3rd game. playing goretzka on the wing was a total löw move  he probably did regret not taking sane during the last days, with how many he tried on offense. doubt he planned to play Werner on the wing before the tournament either
Özil/Müller/Khedira, thanks for 2014, but its time to retire. they would be 33/34 by the next wc. i doubt Löw getting the sack tho, he needs to go on his own. but if he goes, knowing the DFB, they gonna make Schneider new head coach. that is bad as well lol
It's a tough decision for sure man
But we haven't seen anything from Muller or Khedira for quite some time...should of been dropped imo
Ozil showed some flashes, but I simply cant stand his attitude, nor defensive work rate. He never, EVER tries to create something and a take a chance -- always looking for the easiest passing option. Doesn't cut it for me...
I didn't get that move at all, but Werner impressed me. Constantly beat his man on the wings and had some quality chances in the box

Agree
Sané or not shouldn’t make a difference in this group (all respect to the opponents but obviously we need to qualify as first in this group)
He also got people with pace in the squad - but he didn’t let them play
Also using all the friendlies for nothing but testing is something I barely understood
By the start of the tournament we still haven’t found a starting 11
Neuer‘s case wasn’t handled properly to me either
Just like Özil/Gündogan
So many severe mistakes and that completely leaves aside the tactics etc (where he is awful anyways)
I expect him to continue and I expect DFB to let him continue as well
I just believe Sane was by far the best option in terms of creativity on the wing. Germany has plenty of quality pace, I agree.
Can't believe he insisted on using the same players -- and same tactics
Yeah I don't understand the experimenting of lineups months before the world cup....how will players gel?
As you said, pointless to test all that and go back to the original team -- players weren't getting any proper game time together
Don't know much about Gundogan and Neuer situation, so I can't say much
But Low has to go
