Red Bull bought a random 6th level club a few years ago, refounded it with a new name, badge (Red Bull logo), colours, etc.

They have no history or a proper fanbase, just tons of money. They've been promoting almost every year, and they're now in the 2nd level.

Ah I see. Sad to see Massimo Bruno go there in a season then..

Well now he's playing for Red Bull Salzburg, which is essentially the same thing. Even though Salzburg were actually a succesful top flight club before the take over, once Red Bull bought the club they disbanned it and founded a new Salzburg with the Red Bull logo, motto and colours. The fans had to create a new amateur club that followed Salzburg FC's traditions and start off from there.

Shows how important money is in football at this day and age.

sabitzer from rapid wien had a b/o vs 2mio, except for rival clubs, so redbull leipzig bought him and instantly loaned him to salzburg to keep that transfer cheap

Yeah... fuck Red Bull, seriously, their clubs represent the worst part of modern football.

They actually tried to buy Mallorca before it got sold to our current owners. They wanted to do the same thing, disbann it and establish a new club: Red Bull Mallorca with their colors and logo as the new badge.

We protested massively against them buying the club. Even though they seemed very willing to invest millions in making a solid team, we prefer our history and traditions over their money. The former owners weren't too keen either about letting someone destroy our history and traditions, so they didn't accept Red Bull's offer.

The owners we got instead of Red Bull have obviously been crap, but I still rather have my club in the second, third, fourth or fifth level than having plastic club with no history playing european competitions.

I know mate. That penalty shootout has equalled an English record. 31 penalties required to settle a match!

All I can remember is singing all night with the likes of:

'Steve Gerrard, Gerrard,
He slipped on his fucking arse!
And gave it to Demba Ba,
Steve Gerrard Gerrard!'

Best game I have ever been to, and I have seen Middlesbrough beat both Sunderland and Newcastle xD
