Everything will be allright though, they are still a big name with a lot of money in the BPL. There is some potential they just need a few key players to stay and a few extra to carry the younger ones.

Saf did not leave a rotten squad behind. who were there that really were nearing the end? Giggsy and rio? evra was 30 or 31. vida is like 32 or 33. This team won the league by a landslide. You bring saf back and he will win the league over and over again with this team.

SAF left a team behind that HE became champion with and that HE could win it again with. He was an exceptional manager but he doesn't care one bit about other managers.
If he truly does, he would have left a team behind with alot of potential, many of the players in his squad overperformed at that time, and that is simply because of his managerial abilities.

So yes, SAF is to blame imo. He should have invested more into youth and leaving a team behind that anyone else could become champion with unlike splashing out the cash to buy an old Van Persie to get that one last title.

Maybe, but that's because he is the greatest manager of all time. He's gone, you aren't ever getting another manager as good as him, get over it

when the magic of sir alex was gone the true potential of that team became visible
united should have started getting new class players back then, but instead you were hoping that moyes could get on with this

He won that last title because there was a combination of him being a great manager that perfectly knew the team/club, the players overperforming and rival teams having a transition season. I really doubt SAF would have won any more titles with this team, but that's something that can't be proven ofc.

I'm not saying LvG isn't at fault, because he's to blame for making awful signings that haven't improved the mediocrity he inherited. It still doesn't take away the fact SAF left a declining squad though. He had so much time to prepare a long lasting team for someone else to take over, yet he decided to pass on a hot potato and not give a fuck about the problems his succesors could face.

ofc moyes reign was blighted by a series of poor misjudgement by moyes himself. Did united really appoint a wrong manager with david and now lvg?
For a club that has been managed by a single manager for so long, you need continuity for as long as possible. thats also why i have been clamouring for giggsy to be manager.
jose could win it with that mediocre players you people have been pointing out. but ultimately, i do not want jose.

Mediocre, world class or not, every crub is different. LVG has reversed everything that united has stood for bar maybe his willingness to play youngsters but injuries he had caused probably forced his hand anyway.

Shit- Tom Cleverly, Danny Welbad, yes he scored yesterday but hes going to miss the next 20. Evans walking piece of disaster.

World class- RVP
The rest are all very good players like wayne, carrick, rafael, degod etc

the players you call very good, i call only good, but not outstanding
the only outstanding player in this entire match squad is de gea

of course we can debate about this big time, but as a matter of fact it took the best manager ever to make this bunch perform

signings like fellaini and rojo did not really make it better, while at the same time united failed to bring in a guy like pedro for example
where are the other officials to prevent this?

van gaal had bayern play the same football and his squad was not as good as the one we have now, but we still won titles and reached a champions league final
