He was better at PSV, not at the start ofc but as the captain he took the initiative and defended hard too. But he seems to find his rhythm rather quick now.

What I don't get is, van Gaal worked with him in Oranje, he should have known what he was capable off. At least enough to keep him from scoring against united.

The very main problem now with united is LVG. That rivalry with scouse cants can take a backseat for this one. We have already beaten them a thousand times and everyone here have the same amount of premier league titles as them since pl started in 92.
LVG has been buying time again and again and our flaws are so exposed for everyone to see. GTFOLVG
