I like Agger but his form hasn't been great in the last year. Approaching 30 y/o and injuries might be catching upto him. He is good with the ball and good tactically too, so I think he would be a good signing anyway.

I would love to see Vermaelen go to Barcelona, he's without a doubt my favourite player and he deserves to start every game of the season.
Quality wise he's far better than Mertesacker or Koscielny,it's just that these two make a great duo while vermaelen can't get trough that.

If the deal goes trough, I will be very happy for Vermaelen, and every arsenal fan will see him go as a very professional player that never complained.

Vermaelen is prone to making mistakes, and he is rash in his decision making. Being tactically inept isn't great either
