this

Sterling is one of englands best weapons some opponents just wont be able to deal with his pace and trickery
It's not about who's better, Roy won't play with two attacking wingers like Lallana and Sterling.

Personally I like Welbeck very much, seems like I'm in a minority.

As a United fan, I see him play much more often than everyone else and he's properly good, he just doesn't score as much as he perhaps should.

For example Welbeck did great job in completely neutralizing Xabi Alonso with scoring in the process in the last season's CL, he's a big game player.

german media reports that rooney is being criticised and not "untouchable" anymore
"his best time is over" said scholes for example (which is totally true, but ok)

what can the experts here tell me about this?

Not an expert but anyone with eyes knows Rooney is a huge underachiever for england. He doesn't even deserve a starting spot.

Wayne has worldwide reputation, his inclusion in the team terrifies the opposition alone.

England won't get far, Gary Lineker made a good point that we don't really have many players in their prime, i.e. mid to late twenties. Only ones are like Rooney, Lallana and Cahill. The players are either very young or very old.

As a result, I'd just go with an exciting attacking team, we have nothing to lose.

Start lallana on the left, sterling on the right. Barkley as a sub for Rooney to play him in behind Sturridge.
