instead he plays gündo and kroos in central midfield, who are both fantastic players in their own right, but NOT defensive mids. how can you play so clearly into your opponent's cards? i can't wait until this tournament is over and löw finally resigns.
it's so ridiculous that every tournament there seems to be something that everyone can easily identify as an obvious mistake, that löw stubbornly ignores, trying to prove his "genius" and everyone else wrong. it always backfires, except when injuries force him to put players on their strongest position, like in 2014.
sure, the world champs are favorites, but its not like we are san marino, we have had worse teams making deep runs in the past

how in the world are we supposed to win the midfield with only gündogan and kroos (both not exactly famous for being workhorses for a midfield 2) vs kante, rabiot/tolisso, pogba and griezmann if he drops back
i think this game will either be a massive positive suprise for us or a total disaster, but nothing in between
the mustafi injury and lahm going back to right back literally made us world champions in 2014
