understandable reaction, his performances are certainly not the reason he is not there so he might as well officially quit

while i think that his performances in the league COULD have justified a nomination into the preliminary squad, wagner's reaction and excuses make it hard to have any sympathy for him - and i'm the last person you could accuse of being a löw fan.
his immediate retirement from the national team and his comments about how it was his 'honesty and outgoing character' that cost him the spot, implying those who were nominated did somehow NOT deserve it, were really childish and petty.

i completely understand that he's frustrated, and i'm sure it was a close decision - i would have had a hard time to decide myself who to pick other than werner (probably wagner would actually have been my 2nd choice, in terms of physicality and determination he would probably have been the best option for a starting spot if löw wants to play with a classical striker, and he would have been a good sub as well), but instead of accepting it and trying even harder for the future (for a target man, 30 is not THAT old, just look at gomez), he throws a temper tantrum and makes cheap excuses. classless imo...

Always praising himself in public got on my nerves already too much - it’s not like he is the best German striker by miles (like his understanding) - in fact he’s not even in top3 . This again just shows how classless of a clown he is
