we signed:
davie selke for ~8-10m - currently injured
leckie for 3m - currently our best scorer with 2 goals in his first league game
rekik for 2,5m - is most likely gonna be our starting CB
lazaro for ~5m - still injured but should come back really soon. i hope he will give the other wingers some competition so everyone will get better

we sold: brooks for ~17m

overall we sold 1 key player and bought several players for the squad depth ( that we need for EL )

i would give it a 8/10 since it was really good planned and we got our deals really early in the transfer windoww
i was hoping for another really good CM - but we have a nice young guys from our youth that looks promising in that position ( arne maier )

We had an almost perfect mercato with Berchiche, Dani Alves, Neymar and Mbappé .
We could have used a new 6 to replace Motta like Fabinho for sure though.

Madrid's transfer window was very underwhelming. We've Pepe (arguably our best CB), James (world class player), Morata (very solid striker), Danilo (inconsistent, but still a decent backup RB), Coentrao (ok, he was finished) and Mariano (well, he barely played, so kind of irrelevant) for a bunch of good looking proising kids which might turn out to be class someday, or might fail miserably (it's a real gamble). I think there is no doubt that the squad is overall weaker than last year.

I'm pretty confident that Llorente will deliver, and I think that Theo Hernández, Vallejo and Ceballos also have a good chance of doing so.... however all 3 of them are unproven at sucha a high level. Achraf has never played on senior level, so I have a lot of doubts regarding him, and the way things are atm we can barely call him a backup for Carvajal.; hope he proves himself. ANd I really don't rate Borja Mayoral at all... imo he's nowhere near being good enough to be a backup striker. That's really my main issue with our transfer window... we have no replacement for an already underwhelming Karim.
