If you decide to play for a country then you should do it with your heart and be focused 100% at this country. Not like Mesut Özil, not singing it, feeling more turkish than German. He obviously picked Germany only to become more famous.

Imo if he would play for Turkey noone would care about him

Not singing anthem doesnt mean you dont give your 100%. What you do on the pitch is what matthers

For example: De Bruyne doesnt sing the anthem for us, but he gives everything and he is our best performing player next to Courtois.

what bothers many people is the fact, that most of our players with migration background do not sing the anthem while the others all do it
özil looks like he has a bad taste in his mouth while our anthem plays xd

and that leaves an impression of a "divided" team if you catch my meaning

i'm wondering, who are those people that are bothered by players not singing the anthem? in the 70s, for example, no one did. beckenbauer, müller, maier, overath, breitner, vogts... none of them did.

boateng and khedira sing it sometimes, özil never does but he's said time and time again that he's proud to represent germany so what's the problem? i really don't think it's a big deal at all to be honest and whoever thinks the team is "divided" just because a couple of players don't always sing the anthem needs to get their head checked - just look at those guys interacting with each other. ridiculous...
