Feel bad for the fans that show up every week.

Don't feel bad for that idiotic owner.

Newcastle deserved to go down imo, if only they can keep the best manager theyve had since sir bobby robson (Rafa) it would be great news

Nah it's bullshit, but still gave me a laugh.

And I can guarantee he said something along those lines in private, he didn't give a fuck about Sunderland.

Him and all of his family are from Newcastle what do you expect ?

The only reason why he went to Sunderland is because he got a chance in their academy

Whoever is in charge of transfers at Newcastle should be sacked btw, this is no the spending budget of a relegation candidate:

Newcastle's 2015/16 signings
Summer
Georginio Wijnaldum - £14.5m
Aleksandar Mitrovic - £13m
Chancel Mbemba - £8.5m
Florian Thauvin - £12m

Winter
Henri Saivet - £5m
Jonjo Shelvey - £12m
Andros Townsend - £12.5m

77.5 million spent in a year and still relegated .. you cant blame the owner for at least trying something

Doubt Rafa will stay. Massive risk to his career if he goes down to the second tier and fails.

And the championship is a minefield.

Entering a club and leaving as soon as they go down isn't a winning attitude all the same. Especially if you got fired at Real for performing poorly. He should stay and get them back in at record pace. That would be good for his carreer. Good for Newcastles self esteem too.

In the Eredivisie NEC relegated two years ago. They set the record for most points most goals for and best winrate a year later in the first division (Jupiler League). This year they finished 10th in the Eredivisie. They could have done better but their board wanted their striker out for some really important matches because he didn't want to sign a new contract.

Last time Newcastle got relegated like 5 years ago im sure they set the record for the highest points tally in the championship the next season when they came back up

Yep that is the correct mentality. Show everyone you belong in the highest lvl. Also take winning with you to actually start winning in the BPL again. Fucking ridiculous that a 4 time champion gets relegated. The squad in my eyes should easilly top 10.
