Willian has been good for Chelsea this season but his not even close to Mahrez or Payet.

Yeah that is a tough one he probs won't be there, but he is better than both of them ^_^

Tottenham is the team which conceded the lowest amount of goals this season despite having not the great defence even if their manager improved it a lot.Butland is worth mentioning too, he improved a lot this season.

De Gea still >

Didn't you see that table that was made up if all the shots that hit the post/bar had gone in? Spurs would be 7th. And they call Leicester lucky.

Has De Gea been THAT good this season? He's been great as always, but I feel Lloris has performed better..

I think so. More clean sheets from fewer games, better save per game ratio. Imo he just edges it.

well that's why i asked if he's really been that good. i'm not a fan of evaluating players, especially goalkeepers, purely based on stats. clean sheets and number of conceded goals sure are nice stats to have and could indeed give you a general impression how good a goalkeeper is - IF you compare him to teams playing with a similar strength defense and a similar playstyle. zieler, for example, conceded the 3rd most goals this bundesliga season - and although i'm not a big fan of his and do not think he deserves to be germany's #3 gk, i do think he's a more than solid gk although the pure stats say otherwise...

on the other hand, you could be an extremely error prone goalie with little to no authority - but when your defense is solid and you have the odd game where your reflexes make you look like a god and nothing seems to get past you, people will completely overrate you (fabien barthez comes to mind). goalkeeping, for me, is much more about consistency than about spectacular saves and visually impressive airborne action. it's about minimising the situations in which you actually have to make those monster saves...
