This is actually my biggest fear, they will embarrass themselves and England next season if they qualify, finishing bottom of their group with 6 defeats -_-

Cant do worse than united, playing 19th century football and failing to get out of their group.

United turned from that cude kid everybody knew into this retarded ugly (and polish) guy nobody likes.

You said man utd belong in the Cl while Leicester don't.

I disagree. And so does the embarrassment of the english nation.

If Leicester qualify to the CL, then they deserve to play in it. ^^

Anything else would be stupid to say.

Mate, don't feed the troll.

I actually like the idea of Leicester being in it. Gives the other teams a kick up the ass to see a new standard that's been successful. 4th last in squad value and making a joke out of Liverpool, Man United, Chelsea, Arsenal, City who have all spent largely to get success.

i don't think leicester could even come close to embarrassing english football like united (and also city before this season) did with their cl performances in the last couple of years - even if they tried.
i mean seriously, united spent more than ANY other club before this season and got eliminated by wolfsburg and eindhoven... leicester would have to lose by double digits each game to fail that hard imo.

regarding the article, i'd have to say that although i agree there are too many random teams in champions league these days, i DO like the fact that every team has at least a chance to qualify and that teams are rewarded equally based on their performance. it's european tradition and it's a good one considering how hard it is for a team to rise through the ranks and really establish themselves as an el or even cl team these days without the help of some rich arab / russian / american investor. rewarding teams based on marketability and drawing power would only widen the gap - the sponsors / investors / different financial rule sets in different leagues and tv marketing already do a good job at that...

All this, but don't forget, our teams are just as well equipped history wise, it's just that we are such a small country that makes the clubs fanbase a tiny dot on a map compared to a club like United. That translates into money and status. Therefor a club like PSV hasn't been interesting for real talents for years. Things are really looking up now they are playing solid games against way bigger clubs with relatively young players. I mean they have signed one of the biggest Italian talens two years back, and he imidiatly stated that PSV would be way better for his personal development than Roma. Last summer Perreiro joined us party because Suarez has told him so. If players like Suarez tell the talented youngsters to go to the eredivisie there is hope for us after all.

In conclusion, I'd like to see Leicester in the Champions League next year. It would be good for the team too. Why would you leave after reaching the Champions League. (I've been asking myself this since Wijnaldum and Depay left, since they made it happen and had never played Champions League before)
