Yeah was going to ask you about him actually, how good was he in the bundesliga? In the US we dont get great coverage of the Bundesliga, except they signed a contract with fox this year so thatll change. But was he good? Did you think he will cope well with the physicality of the premier league?

Do you think he will play over Ulloa, kramaric, and vardy? And do you think he will be better than Joselu? He played for Hannover 96 last season and was a Madrista B player.

well to be perfectly honest it was kind of a joke since i'm naturally very biased towards a former mainz player but i assume you got that already.

that being said, i DO think he'll do fine regardless. i obviously am everything but an expert on leicester and their team, don't know how good their strikers are and as a matter of fact i just recently asked about kramaric since he's a player who was linked to dortmund once but i lost track of his developement...

the reason i'm still positive about okazaki is that the guy has just an incredible attitude and work ethic - apart from being a technically and tactically sound, surprisingly robust and mentally strong football player. he's strong with both feet and really good in the air too for a player of his size.
for mainz he was the best goal scorer (12 last season, 15 the season before) in both seasons he played for us and also the player with the most combined playing time.

his never give up attitude, his unselfishness and his complete dedication to the team made him a fan favourite very quickly and almost no one here is mad at him for leaving the club to play in england for a salary about 4 to 5 times as high as we could have offered to pay him - the transfer fee of almost 10 times of what we paid for him two years ago obviously sweetened the deal...

joselu i don't see as strong as okazaki and that's not because he's not a former mainz player. i think hes technically more limited, more of a pure striker.
the numbers seem to support my opinion (he scored 8 last year, 9 the year before) but to be fair he didn't have as much playing time as okazaki. i should also mention that he played in three different bundesliga clubs in the last three seasons (hannover, frankfurt & hoffenheim). all clubs i'm not particularly fond of which means i can't tell you much more about him since i don't follow them that closely...
