considering how little oil costs now I doubt oil rich countries will be able to have much future success
here's a post i made earlier...
with all this abundance of oil in the world... USA, the #1 importer and top 10 producer, is living life large right now.. best of all!!! Iran, Venezuela, Russia, and Qatar, etc. all the OPEC overly dependent countries that hate us about to collapse.
cheap $ = poorer countries able to produce again (china was a huge producer because they burned coal like it was the 19th century) = high production of goods = worldwide recession will end = improved technology = find oil or alternative energy at even a much cheaper cost!!! = cheap $!!
But why Saudi Arabia??? Saudi is rich as fuck and loves USA, and have continually been declining all attempts from Russia, Iran, Venezuela from raising oil prices (Russia/Iran/Venezual hate us). Saudi is so fucking $$rich$$ that they can survive this oil drop because they aren't 100% overly dependent on it as venezuela,russia,iran are.

1. Fracking has been one of the best things to happen to the USA since the end of prohibition.. We've found TONS TONS TONS TONS TONS of oils in states as large as North Dakota.. economists say this is the closest thing from the Gold Rush to happen to the USA.
2. have you ever thought why they even took japanese hostages and wanted a $200mil ransom?? Japan has 0.0000000 ZERO way of producing its own oil, which is why the WW2 was huge for them in terms of going after mainland Russia/China for their oils. Japan is a top economy and the world's #3 oil IMPORTER.. ok so japan is rich and loves to buy oil.. but is ISIS even taking hostages...? Their money comes from oil wells theyve captured from north Iraq and Syria.. OH SHIT GUESS WHAT!?!?!?! OIL IS GOING DOWN... THEY'RE LOSING $ ALL OVER THE PLACE.. THEY NEED to hold hostages so they can get $ for their Insane Clown Pose wannabe ISIS troops.
I'm just glad this internal depression will end and we as a whole we can focus on what really matters like medical advances, space exploration, fighting infectious diseases that can wipe humanity out, intersellar defense from a meteor that can kill all of us any moment.. those are what really matters
tl;dr,.... Saudi is bringing down venezuela, Russia, Iran and continuing to cripple OPEC which makes everybody but OPEC's lives amazing and the human race can finally advance.
edit; with better technology we can generate energy more efficiently, more effectively, more environmentally friendly, and who knows... maybe some kid genius will find a way to make us 100% off of fossil fuels because he is able to harness the power of gravity or some shit like that
WW3 will never happen.. the only kind of warfare now is economic warfare. With fracking and foreign investments into countries in Africa, Austria, regional Artic countries, etc we've effectively crippled our enemies.
why does Saudi like USA???
they buy TONS TONS TONS of guns from us and USA is a pretty good ally to have when shit REALLY goes down in the middle east.
