Don't even know how I'm supposed to respond to a comment like that...
Valdes won the la liga trophy for conceding the least goals almost year after year because of the dominance his team had in la liga (> 70% ball possession every single game)
iirc Valdes had ~ 150 shots on him while Iker was averaging ~ 200 shots but Ikers % of shots saved was always higher than Valdes'. Talking about crap positioning and ball retention... I'm sure there are dozens of youtube videos dedicated to the failures of Valdes... there's a reason for why he's one of the most trolled goalkeepers of all time
Leave it to a barca fan to want him benched/replaced when he was winning the golden glove / IFFHS GK award...
its so stupid to assume iker had more shots hence a better keeper.

Valdés surpasses Casillas in all relevant areas this season in the league: clean sheets, saves-to-shots ratio, catch-success ratio, error-proneness and distribution.
2011 article.
Try to figure out what saves to shots ratio means.

Saves to Shots ratio
74%- iker 81%-valdes

Dropped Catches

Errors leading to goal

Iker also had a great save at the start of the game, but no one talks about that...
and that goal, while I agree that Iker failed, the wall has a share of responsability there aswell
I mean, Iker hasn't been in his top form for a while now, and he should have done better yesterday, but I don't think it's fair to bash him for what happened yesterday... especially when most of the players yesterday had awful performances
great save ? he punched the ball forward which is the most common mistake for keepers.
Any keeper knows he should push it sideways not in front of goal, like any defender should know to pass back only sideways, not risking an own goal.
But meh, deluded madrid fans always cling to their fallen hero, although he has shittier and shittier performances.
