He is on his prime, however another 2-3 years max at the top of his game so no resale value. He is one of the greatest all around midfielders right now, great on both ends of the field very versatile, Id guess some team wanting to win now would pay more than 30m usd for him but Im not sure obviously... worth prolly 20-30 imo.

well compare him to other recent transfers...

fernandinho (28): 40 mio.
fabregas (27): 33 mio.
fellaini (25): 32.5 mio.
lallana (26): 31.5 mio.

sure, he's a little older but he's also a lot better than all of these. i don't see why he should cost any less...
