it annoys me big time when players like milner get into the england team based on versatility and shaw for 1 good season in the prem yet the best left back in world football for the last 10 year misses out

Just noticed Milner has 1 goal in 46 games for England, what a pathetic record.

Cole couldn't get a game for Chelsea this season, if he was going to be first choice for England he would've gone to Brazil, not point of taking a 34 years old defender for a back up.
Shaw is the future and World Cup experience will benefit him greatly.

Next game - Ecuador

Kick off at 8pm bst

England starting XI:
Foster, Milner, Shaw, Jones, Smalling, Lampard, Wilshere, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Barkley, Rooney, Lambert

Milner at right back is very interesting, Johnson was awful against Peru, surely Milner can't be worse.
Curious to see how Shaw, Ox, Barkley and Lambert do as well, especially future United legend Shaw b)

Milner can play any position I guess.
He's smart so that might help him

Ecuador created a surprisingly high number of chances, some very dodgy defending so far.
