When I see people defending that a league is best because of tv audiences and amount of cash flow, dispite them not being succesful in international competitions, it reminds of teams claiming that they were the best in a game they lost, simply because they had possession.

Who cares if the league has a wider market and earns more money if they spend it on mediocrity? It's like having the ball and not scoring with it.

I think the Premier League is better than Bundesliga, but basing it on the amount of viewers and revenue is silly. In 2003, Scarie Movie 3 made more money than Big Fish and Mystic River combined; must have been an amazing movie...

It's better than la liga too

yep
popularity doesnt say shit about quality

and vice versa, but the bundesliga has neither

PL top teams aren't very strong atm, but if teams placed 5th and below across the leagues played each other, there would only be one winner. Average team strength is by far the best in the premier league. La Liga and the Bundesliga still have the old premier league mentality where small teams just roll over for the big teams and don't even try

Even if our top teams got stronger, there would easily still be more upsets than other leagues.

the difference between pl and scary movie is that the pl has been so strong for god knows how long and people still continue to watch every year.
For any movie in particular, you do a bad one the sequel might still sell but if that sequel is still so bad people will not go watch the 3rd installment. heck it might not even go into production.

ofc its all about opinion. some of you have your favourite team in loliga or the german league so every week you enjoy watching em beat other teams who's just there to make up the numbers.
Then in europe, you go on and beat, chelski, united, shitty, arsenal whatever team from PL and you claim PL is shit. But the real reason the PL teams are so bad in europe is becos of their domestic form. they drop pts every now and then how are they gonna be confident enuff to beat those teams that are on a roll every week?
This then rubs on to the foreign teams where they rub their hands in glee and are so confident when taking on english teams seeing how they can be beaten.

PL is the strongest league right now with everything to play for. there is no doubt abt that. Will they improve in europe and shut people up? that remains to be seen.

Real Madrid won the CL in 98 and 2000 with 62 points in La Liga (finishing 5th), Chelsea finished 6th with 64 points the season they won it, Dortmund dominated last season's CL group dispite being last placed in Bundesliga... imo dropping points in the domestic league isn't a decisive issue.

not sure if mr paul is srs.

most of us tolerated moyes partly becos he didnt set out the team to defend. same for van gaal in his 1st seaon.
but now almost every united fanboi is calling for VG's head for that negative football hes trying to play.
replace him with one of the most defensive minded manager in world football.....
prob same ending he had with RM :bonk:
