Dybala immediately went from starter to benchwarmer/not-called-up after he said he didn't feel comfortable playing alongside Messi.

Banega apparently had a row with Messi after he temporarily quit the national team.

Icardi doesn't play because Messi is a great friend of Maxi López... Icardi stole Maxi's wife. Plus Icardi has a history of feuds with an Argentian journalist that is known for being one Messi's closest friends and allies within the generally critical Argentian press.

Banega played the full game today and bossed it, giving Messi a superb pass for his goal and linking up well throughout the game. They showed they're putting the country first.

If Sampaoli doesn't have the balls to field the best team, that's on him, not Messi.
