He can't be worse than Sir Alex's proteges - Keane, Bruce, Hughes, Solskjaer, Ince, Robson or his son

That's actually shocking to see such a legacy be so mediocre at management :o

kovac is available...

seriously though, i think arteta would be a risk as he never managed a team himself. ten hag didn't even want to leave for the bayern job so i very much doubt he'd join arsenal.
i'd go with a proven premier league manager. pocchetino would be ideal imo, if arsenal can get him.

Arteta would be a risk, but an interesting risk imo.
Agree with Ten Hag
I'd love Poch, only worry is that he doesn't like to play with lots of width.

Just shows how good Sir Alex was.

I think most of them just tried to copy his methods when they played under him, but he's always adapting to changes in football, they didn't.

With some you could have expected it to be difficult, aka Keane, but I expected something better from Hughes to be fair.
In that whole list probably Bruce is the one who is somewhat decent imo.

Doubt poch would want to join arsenal tbh. He's just spent the last 6 months crying because he can't sort out player contracts or pick what players to sign. Why join another team that's exactly the same?

Picking pep's lap dog doesn't make sense either. It's one thing to nod your head at someone making the decisions, another to be the one making them.

Nuno would be a good shout, but prying him from wolves would be difficult.

There clearly were issues in the squad. Half of the team is posting just pictures of themselves on twitter with ljungberg instead of saying goodbye to the manager. I think 4 or 5 players left some goodbye comments on twitter and insta.
Chambers twitter litteraly is "Thank you and good luck for the future!". Dry as fuck

i'd agree with mill on arteta: it'd be an interesting project, and maybe worth a shot - not every former player will turn out to be a solskjaer. my biggest concern would be that arteta never was in charge of a club on his own. then again, learning from one of the best managers in the world can hardly be detrimental, and he knows the arsenal extremely well, which is a huge upside imo.

so if they can't get pochettino or santo, why not?
