ye just read it aswell
they only lost 1:3

the defeat itself wan't bad, but genk just ended their season in terrible form. Simply the same happend this match and now the board decided to sack the manager all of the sudden (who replaced another manager last season)

Nelson Valdez signed for Eintracht Frankfurt, free transfer. He already played under Schaaf at Bremen

Same thing goes for Almeida, he's about to join, too. Hope they'll demand reasonable wages

Both are pretty old, but they should still be able to perform decently... they are probably not worth paying too much for anymore, but getting them for free is pretty neat.

Pretty dangerous situation atm yeah. Could turn out well though, at least they'll have someone upfront now and Meier doesn't have to score all the goals

So Genk just fired their coach after ONE game. Record in the league for fastest saking.

I saw this and just hope that it isn't going to affect the transfer to us... Though to be honest, we have other targets in place that we are persuing even now!

Apparently Feyenoord are pulling out, as are Olympiakos from the chase, leaving just us as the constantly interested party. We will not pay 7m for him though, maybe 5...

Emilio Nsue just signed for Middlesbrough.

Was he one of your guys Zark? He cancelled his contract with his club and signed one with us... Didn't even know that was possible... They must have charged him to buy himself out?

I'm sorry to tell you this, but he's garbage. I mean, seriously, he's really, really bad.

He has zero technique, loses balls, can't finish... he just runs around. He has a good physique though, and he has learned to become somewhat decent at recovering balls (which is why has been played as a RB over the last seasons, dispite having started his carrer as a striker, and later winger). Maybe a more physical and less techincal league will fit him better, but don't expect anything from him. At least he tries though.

Due to his guiniean genes, he dominated when he was in the youth system, where a good physique gives you the edge over technique. He was meant to be the next big thing for Mallorca, and he also won a few youth euros with the national team, where he was the starting striker. Once he started playing for the first team, he vanished. He worked hard, and the club still had faith in him (and also, being a home grown player he was always treated well), so they rejected a few bids for him and gave him some nice wages.

It's easy to say now, but it was a huge mistake, he didn't progress at all. The only reason he was still in the team was because he was friends with Serra Ferrer (who owns 49% of the club). However, now that Serra has left the board, it was obvious he was going to leave. His salary was too high for us now anyway, but the club didn't even want to offer him a wage reduction, they didn't want him to continue in the team. No team was interested in paying for him, so ending the contract was the only way out.

I hope he performs well for your boys, but tbh I'm glad we finally got rid of him.

Karanka seems to have faith in him, and we got him to use him in a rotation system to be competitive with adomah and the perspective right back we are buying, hopefully his physique works better in the championship!

Cheers for the honesty though!
