With Boateng still missing, it wasn't as easy building up for Germany. And after seeing how it worked out yesterday, Löw will hopefully also re-evaluate Can / Rüdiger. Both had lots of abysmal passes and hopeless dribbling tries.

Hummels only played 1 half and Kane was basically invisible as long as he was there to organize the back 4 or 5. It only got chaotic after he was replaced by the most overrated CB in recent Bundesliga history, Tah.

With Hummels being busy keeping those 3 other clowns in place in defense and Boateng missing, it's no wonder the offensive line didn't get the chance to shine really. Especially Boateng with a long ball or two could have been deadly to England pressuring that high on the pitch.

Yes, of course.

In your world of imagination, trying to analyze why a certain team didn't perform as well as expected, is now equal to finding "excuses excuses like always".

I decided to make some XI's for some of the strongest teams competing in the Euro. I think I'd field these, although it's kind of out of the top of my head.

Germany:

Gomez
Reus---------------Müller
Kroos
Gundogan - Khedira
Schmelzer - Hummels - Boateng - Durm
Neuer

Italy:

Eder
Candreva ---------- Insigne
Marchisio - Verratti
Jorginho
Antonelli - Chielini - Bonnucci - De Silvestri
Buffon

France:

Benzema
Coman --------- Griezmann
Pogba
Lass - Kanté
Kurzawa - Koscielny - Varane - Sagna
Lloris

Belgium:

Lukaku
FerreiraCarrasco - Hazard - De Bruyne
Witsel - Radja
Verthongen - Lombaerts - Kompany - Alderweireld
Courtois

England:

Kane - Sturridge
Alli - Barkley
Dier - Drinkwater
Rose - Shawcross - Smalling - Clyne
Hart

Portugal:

Cristiano - Moreira
A. Silva
A.Gomes - Moutinho
W.Carvalho
Coentrao - Carriço - Pepe - Almeida
Rui Patricio

yep that team is probably better indeed
i had a hard time putting kurzawa on the bench but he clearly lacks international experience and the last time it ended up like that so... i dunno ^^

I like the Belgium team you posted zark.

I prefer mertens overs Carrasco as for now, Dries plays great for us (plus hes from my school so biased ;) )

Also I prefer someone else instead of Lombaerts. I like him but hes too slow and hasnt played alot at Zenit this season

Never really rated Mertens tbh, although idk how he's doing for Belgium. I included Ferreira-Carrasco because he positively surprised me this season, easily one of La Liga's best signings.

About Lombaerts... tbh idk how he's doing at Zenit. It's just that I don't see Verm fit to play as a starter, so I just went with Lombaerts.
