I just read an interview Karanka gave to spanish media and he says he's very excited about this season and hoping for promotion. He says he's expecting more loans from Chelsea and RB or 2 (so it's not surprising they got another loan from Chelsea :P )

He says he'd sign another spanish player but he doesn't want to completely change the club's history by signing more spaniards.

We have a predominantly English history, so I understand that. We are famous here for having one of the best youth setups in the country, and have brought through more players than most others. I am also really excited this season, Karanka seems like an amazing manager to be completely honest, he has already brought so much to the club in ~8 months!

Mr_Mill, care to translate or give a general idea what Vossen and the fans are saying in this video please? Rumours here are saying that it is Vossen saying that he really wants to come to Middlesbrough, and that we may be classed as a second rate team, but we have ambition and desire... However I don't want to jump on a bandwagon if I do not know what is being said for sure :P

Also would be nice to see what the Genk fans think of the supposed transfer :D

He's saying he's charmed by the way middlesbrough fans wante him at the club
The club wants 7mill for him but the fans feel that the way he has been at the club and what he did for the club, they should let him go. Some fans want around 5-6 mill for him.

Many people think it's just a second division club, but Vossen says it could be a nice challenge for him.

That's awesome stuff, thanks man :D I was one of the first few to use the #FreeJelleVossen, which started in a conversation in an MFC facebook group, so might have to aim higher and get theWorld Cup best XI if this one works xD hahaha not likely!

One of our main players Messoudi has just been fired from the squad, since he punched an opposite player during our prev friendly.

The board did the right thing here, we need to make our name better, and that can't happen when we have punching players in our squad.

The season fixtures were released yesterday.

Mallorca has a very tough start. They'll have their first game away against the recently relegated Valladolid, and then play home against Las Palmas (whcih finished 3rd last year and lost the promotion playoff final with 20 seconds of injury time to go).

Overall the first 7 games are very hard. Aside from newly promoted Leganés, the other 6 team will fight for either direct promotion or playoff positions.

There are many teams that are expecting to fight for promotion this season, so we need a good start. Getting as many points as possible in those 7 games will be vital, and could help ushave a great run once we start with the "easy" games.

The first game is always so important, rooting for your boys!

As for OHL, I have my doubts. There are so many teams in the second division who could fight for the promotion.

We also have only sold 2800 season tickets so far, last season was about 7000 (with almost every game sold out (9500))

I myself unfortunatly wont be able to attend every game this season, I need to watch the first division for future reasons and the hours are completely retarded when it comes to second division.

Middlesbrough have a home fixture to Birmingham for the first game, and then an away leg to Leeds United! This is going to be a good game to start, and then a hard one straight after! Lets hope that the sale of Ross McCormack really hurts Leeds, as they are big rivals of ours!

Hope you guys get off to a good start! Sometimes it is better to get the hard games out of the way to kind of set the tone for the season. Gets you playing on a high level straight away! Good luck guys!

EDIT: Apparently the Vossen deal is going to be tied up soon! I am not optimistic, but can hope :D

Hate them, but their team is getting worse each season... Hoping for no first game blues! (Literally)
