agreed but this is clearly a horrible foul horrible injury case....

well like i said, i don't think it was a "horrible foul". for me his intention is clearly to play the ball and it becomes somewhat rough through momentum but i understand that united fans and people who previously made the point that it was "horrible" won't change their opinion. just trying to be fair here...

i don't think the severity of an injury should influence the evaluation of a foul. the same type of tackle or challenge could have different outcomes depending on which player you perform them against...
sometimes it's just bad luck you get a horrible injury from a relatively harmless tackle, sometimes you get away without any injury from a horrible tackle although the player was just trying to hurt his opponent...

It depends on the player aswell. If he is rough, well built and determined and gets stuck in rough contacts, this can happen. That determination can lead to making a difference or ending your career. Didn't really see the challenge live to see if shaw could have anticipated the tackle and jump over, i just think it was just unlucky to be caught with foot on ground. In that situation even a lighter tackle could have broken his leg.

You can break your backbone when you jump for a header and land wrong. That doesn't mean your opponent should get a red.

I think he saw him coming but late, I'm not too sure about this either.

Havent read trough here so if I say somethig that has been said before then my bad. the way Moreno went in with his tackle was not good, a scizzor like tackle should always be punished but thats it. He obviously didnt mean to hurt him and the fact he got injuried doesnt imtpove thr graveness of the foul. Bad foul which could/should have been red but nothing more.
