what a disgrace, that tackle and NOTHING
......
I haven't commented yet because I feel you guys going to judge it as "he is a PSV supporter, ofc he says it wasn't that bad"
In my eyes it was just very unlucky, but a fair tackle. Somewhat hard but if he didn't broke his leg nobody would have looked twice. You've got to admid, these kind of tackles happen every weekend in the BPL. I'm not a referee nor do I know the rules well enough to comment if it either should be awarded a card or not. I read very mixed reactions everywhere. I checked the English stream to hear what they had to say. One said it was a fair challenge but it seemed a bit hard. Other called it unlucky but it's a contact sport and it can happen. Here on the Dutch tv they said, it's hard it was a fair tackle with no intention to play the man, he could have gotten a yellow since you come in with the possibility to injure someone. And if this tackle were to be made somewhere on the midfield you would most definitely have gotten a card. So everyone is a bit fuzzy on what a referee should do here, bare in mind. They have seen the tackle from alle possible angle at all possible speeds and they don't even know. How should a referee judge this decently in a split second decision. I think he could have went with all possible options. Furthermore, there wasn't one United player that complained about that tackle, that says something too. If players feel that something is misjudged they usually allmost kill the ref.
Thoughts please.
