You omitted the most important part. So no ballon d'or. So i was right.

Stepping aside, Van Graal should be admired for having the balls to do what moyes was too afraid to do : getting rid of overpaid crapsters : Nani, Rafael, Evans, Cleverley, lindegaard, chicharito cutting the wage bill significantly.
Only aspect in which he improved united.

http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/manchester-united-fee-anthony-martial-includes-bonuses-if-he-wins-ballon-d-award-1518380

"According to BBC Sport, United have paid £36m ($55.1m) for the forward, but the figure has the potential to rise to an amount that falls just short of the record fee the club paid for Angel Di Maria in 2014.

Le Parisien reports United have paid an initial fee of €50m (£36.4m, $55.5m) and will pay three bonus payments on top of the initial fee, each worth €10m (£7.2m). Monaco will receive the first additional payment when Martial scores his first 25 goals in all competitions for the club. The second instalment will follow once he earns 25 caps for France between now and June 2019, the length of the contract he signed at Old Trafford on Tuesday.

The third payment will reach Monaco's bank account should Martial will the Ballon d'Or award for being the best player on the planet, an accolade won by a Manchester United player just once since 1969."

25 goals for the club in 4 years even rooney could manage.
25 international caps seeing as karim is the only real france striker in 4 years is doable Lots of friendlies

So cheers for getting a 19 year old nobody for roughly £51 mios.

Maybe he's coming to his senses and starts appreciating what the club did for him.

In the end result of things, £51million is literally peanuts to man u.

Not like it's going to bankrupt them.

Still they need quality more than they need the cash.
