Hahahaha, sorry, but that's just unrealistic unless you get Reus and Ronaldo in January you're pushing for fourth spot. You're also praying Suarez doesn't get a prolonged injury.

Or a long suspension.

Unrealistic?

Currently hitting second in the league, go top Saturday if we win, and we have City and Chelsea coming up, 4 points from them in my opinion. We'll be up there come the end.

Merry Christmas my fellow Liverpool brethren! A great gift from FSG today!

Securing the signature of arguably the best striker in world football is fantastic news for us!

honestly I don't quite get why he exetended though

I'd say it's a win in any situation you look at, for player and for club.

If Real Madrid come in for him now, he will likely get an even bigger pay package, Liverpool stand to gain a very significant fee for him as he just penned a new contract.

For the Club as well, with Suarez signing a new deal, it may attract other players that can see potential in the team and that we are in it for titles and cups.

Very attractive for all parties in a Liverpool sense.

If Suarez ends up being a second Torres, liverpool fans will go out of control. Hoping for you guys that this won't happen.

I hope it won't too.

But I think this is a different scenario than the Torres one.

Torres was a bit out of form, his game was lacking creativity and invention since coming back from injury and he was quite down. Suarez on the other hand has never been more livelier! He's enjoying his football, scoring for fun, has massive support from his fellow teammates and fans and is in a very good place right now. There's no telling what may happen, but I would like to think that the player's attitude is showing great signs of staying.

I guess all the cards will be laid out when Real does come knocking.

Edit: And also league position during the January window and where we are come the end of the season.

I'm hoping to see Suarez in the premier league for a long time, wether it's for Liverpool or perhaps Arsenal B)
