Córdoba has spent most of its history in the 2nd and 3rd levels (pretty much equally), although they managed to play in Primera throughout most of the 60s. Aside from a 2 year spell in the 3rd level, they've been playng in Segunda the last 15 years, finishing in the mid-low part of the table most of the time.
This year they are doing well though.

Córdoba is still up in playoff positios with one game to go.
And they promoted thatnks to a goal scored in the last minute of extra time!!!
They drew home 0-0, and they were losing 1-0 in Las Palmas. With 3 minutes of injury time added, the ref had to stop the game for 10 minutes in the 92nd minute because Las Palmas fans were jumping down from the seating area, getting ready to invade the pitch and celebrate. Once security managed to get everyone back to their seats, the game restarted and Córdoba scored 30 seconds later. Insane!
Córdoba promoting is really surprising. A mid table finish was expected when the season started, so this is quite an achievement. When they finished in the last position of the playoff zone, no one gave them a chance, but they ko'd the two best teams of the four (first Murcia and today Las Palmas).
