also, when things get tense, you tell the players to calm down, you don't go on a carding frenzy. The same ref went on a carding frenzy against Barça and they were all mad about it... and they were right to be angry after the match because even though they were arguing against a correct decision, they shouldn't have been treated like that either and the ref should have told them to calm down instead of sending off Mascherano.

Thats how the refs handle things in Spain. This case wouldnt be so hyped if it wasnt for the fact that madrid fans and players feel cheated but they werent.
Also, you dont know what ozil had done before that but even so why even start with the sarcastic applauds?

Its foolish and its a result of the man on the bench JOSE mourinho.

The ref clealy states in his report Özil was sent off only because of the applauding. There were no warnings before that because the refs write them down in their report.

I don't just feel like RM was cheated by that ref, I feel all of the teams in La Liga are being cheated by this kind of referreeing, because almost every week you kind find matches were these things happen. And I hope all the attention these cases are getting end up changing the way most refs handle games in Spain.

when a player recieves a card for arguing they say if they had been verbally warned before, aswell as anything that had any influence in the decision to show a card. If there had been any previous incidents regarding Özil, he would have had to write it down.
