He has played only 27 Liga games for two consecutive seasons now. So, over the last 2 years, he has missed a total of 22 league games plus some CL games, and also played a bunch of games without proper fitness right after "recovering", simply because an unfit Keylor is still better than Kiko Casilla... but an unfit Keylor isn't good enough to be the number 1 keeper of a top club, and that's the problem. Half of the games Keylor is world class, but the other half he's either injured or not fit enough to perform at the level we need, because of his injury proneness. It's sad, but it's the way it is.

Navas would be a long shot and we'd be depending on other clubs to get deals done, with only 3 weeks left until the start of the premier league.

After selling Coutinho for £125m FSG were happy to spend £75m on Van Dijk so overpaying Alisson wouldn't surprise me.

i wouldn't necessarily say he 'sucked', but he definitely played on his level in a club like frankfurt - no offense, kroko.
to establish himself at a big club he needs to become much more consistent and also a bit more mature and unselfish in his decisionmaking. on his day he can be an unstoppable force, but these days are clearly too rare. let's not forget though that perisic for example was also not the player he eventually became at inter, back when he played at dortmund and wolfsburg. he was 26+ when he exploded, rebic is almost 25 now, so there is still SOME time - this will be a defining season for him though either way i feel.

so while it MIGHT turn out to be a good deal eventually, to sign rebic now for about 30M, the chance of that happening is probably below 50%, depending on various factors. for frankfurt it would be a good deal for sure, it's almost impossible for him to increase his market value there - even though his contract is long enough for them to make him stay for one more season.
