About time, I think it's fair to say, that if Ogunjimi could have scored 5 goals, we would still be in the first division

Well, many of those players are the ones who brought us up to the first division, so it will be a loss. and our board is pretty retarded when it comes to transfers

Well, many of the players in Mallorca's squad finished 8th in Primera 2 yearsa ago, 1 point away from the EL...

The problem is that some of them are now past it and shouldn't have had their contracts extended, and others are still quality players that shoud be able to carry the team in Segunda, but have been depressed and consumed by negativity for over a year.

The team that went down was a mid table team... the problem was that literally half the squad had injury problems (with 5 starting players out for over half the season) and the bench wasn't good enough. With the injured players back, promoting was supposed to be a pretty easy task for such a powerful team (even with the retarded and unnecessary decision of selling Pina and loaning Márquez... not talking about Gio here because it was obvious he was going to leave), but the players never got over the fact they relegated and have lost all faith in their game. Obviously the problems in the board have only made things much worse...

Our problems were pretty obvious, the fact no one but the captain could score and that we piled up more red cards than the dirtiest team in belgium (standard).
We also didn't have a good run of form like we had prev years.

It's official, OHL has been relegated to the second division, terrible season from us with WAY to many red cards. Ivan Leko did well to try and safe us, but he needs more experience.

Second division should be better for us, however I don't see us coming back in first for a season or two. Nonetheless, I will keep supporting the team, however going to matches will be rather difficult because of the stupid hours second division has..

rip ohl ;(

we signed valentin stocker B) never thought we would be able to sign him

Mallorca has sacked Carreras, who had been our manager for less than 3 months.

I'll say the same thing that I said when Oltra was sacked in february, it's not the manager's fault but the team is free falling and something has to change, and the easiest thing is to change is the manager.

The problem now is that the 3 owners have to agree on who should take over with 3 games to go.

Biel Cerdà (club president and owner of 6% of the club) wants David Vidal, who has been a hit or miss manager throughout his almost 30 year long carreer (which has swayed between Primera and Segunda) and is mostly known for being excentric (during training sessions, games and, mostly, press conferences). He hasn't managed a team in like 5 years or so.

Lorenzo Serra Ferrrer (49% of the club) wants club legend Olaizola who played for us for a decade and was our there during our glory years when we we won the Copa, played the UCWC final, the CL, etc. He doesn't have any managerial experience though, other than working in the club's youth system.

Utz Claassen (45% of the club) wants.... Serra Ferrer to take over! Serra promoted and relegated Mallorca twice during an 8 year spell at the club during the late 80s and early 90s (he was ok since the club couldn't fight for anything better than that at the time), but his major achievements happened while he was manager of Betis, where he's an icon (they should keep him...). This isn't going to happen. Serra will never accept the challenge (even though he should since he's the main reason we are in such a bad situation, and this way he'd take some responsability and stop acting like a coward) and Claassen knows it, he just wants to weaken Serra's position even more.

It's a fucking circus...

Also, more outrageous news:

While Mallorca played their highly important game against Jaén last weekend, club president Cerdà (who is a Barça fan and gives jack shit about Mallorca), was sighted at Camp Nou watching the title decider against Atlético. Since all 3 owners are cowards and can't face the booing they get in Mallorca's games, they rarely go to the games... but at least you'd expect they'd watch them on tv instead of going to watch other teams' games ffs, especially when it was an important game in the fight against relegation.
