  gg game. well for some of us. at least now i can understand why you couldn't formulate a counter point on any of my posts and had to resort to name calling and typical non sense. there is no excuse for the demise of your club. ARSEnil is a selling club, with one remarkable season and nothing from europe. you even lost the carling cup to birmingham. you should hope vermaelen moves on soon so you can change your sig and support another club.

and it's topped by CiteH dropping 3 more points to Ajax. what a great day for footy!

oh wait. NORWICH 1- ARSE nil . rolllllllling on.

If you are referring to the invincibles season as arsenal's claim to be a big club you need to learn more about English football.
Arsenal is third behind Man Utd and Liverpool in total number of top division football titles (4th and 5th is Everton and Villa).
Arsenal's top division run stretches for 90 years, Man utd's top division run only stretches for 50 years.

Outside of football Arsenal's got the second biggest stadium in the premiership, and it's still sold out almost every match with a 98% average league attendance.
The season ticket waiting list is 5-6 years long.
Global support is great and overall revenue Arsenal's been one of the top 10 clubs every year for the pass decade.

Other "big" clubs or "buying" clubs are often being run to the ground with debt or have a sugar daddy or both. Either way it's not sustainable and financial fair play is coming in (I don't see it working well, at least not at first). When Mansour and Ambromavich gets bored these clubs will be in trouble, they are not making serious pushes for long term sustainability. Both have small stadiums and neither are making a serious push to build a new one. Proposed plans to take over old Battersea power station doesn't count as a realistic or serious push to build a new, and other similar half arsed crazy attempts.
Annoying as spuds are, at least they keep making real pushing to expand their stadium (olympic stadium or otherwise).

Yes ARSEnil was a big club. a fine past to recollect. but if as a fan of the gooners you think the motivation by the board is to win you're wrong. profit is the only thing that matters NOW. ARSEnil will not compete with the big boys anymore. UEFA $$$ fair play will be circumvented and be rendered useless. Like most of Walcotts run down the wing. You sold RVP to ManUre, that is not something a club on the road to glory does. It something a SELLING club does. So to be clear ARSENAL is a SELLING CLUB with aspirations of 3rd or 4th. Welcome to the rest of the EPL aside from what is now the BIG 3. ARSENAL main concern is making sure they are beating the spuds more than winning silver.

BTW how many european cups does a big global brand like ARSEnil have? Oh so that means they are a domestic brand. and not even close to the biggest there. Not anymore.

If arsenal didn't sell their players or gave them contracts after the trails our team would have been like this

--------------------------Cech-----------------------------
Sagna---------Kolo-----------------Verm---------Clichy
Hleb------------Cesc--------------Yaya------------Ronaldo
---------------------Ibra---Drogba--------------------------

Shocking to see really :O
