He deserves to be booed, he hasn't handled the situation well at all... I'd be really pissed off at him if I was a Utd fan

agreed
whats keeping players to express their desire to leave, but still give their best for the current club

you know what united should do?

let him rot on the tribune for this season

ridiculous how some guys treat their contracts, di maria being the second guy from united in a single transfer period to behave like that

gonna say the same thing as i did in the valdes affair: if it's true i completely agree - unprofessional and highly unfair towards the club.

so far, however, it looks to me like we've only heard one side of the story which is van gaal's... has de gea commented on the situation?
just saying - keep your torches and pitchforks at home for now since van gaal has a history of making untrue comments about players he wants to get rid of...

It was the goalkeeping coach who had a discussion with de gea I believe.. So there is two point of views but both on the same side.

If de gea is not coming out publicy saying he wants to leave then what would make him comment on this?

actually no, van gaal CLAIMED it was the goalkeeping coach frans hoek who spoke to de gea and got a "no" as an answer when asked if he wanted to play...

now i'm sure a guy who's best buddies and following van gaal around for decades wouldn't call him a liar if the press asked him. IF it's not what happened (again, i'm not claiming it isn't true, i'm just saying we've only heard one side) he'd say something along the lines of "it was a misunderstanding" or "he said he wasn't fully focused because of the situation"...

what do you mean was "agreed upon"? that he said "no"? that he shouldn't play? again, his coaching staff would never throw van gaal under the bus, all i'm saying is wait until you hear the other side of the story before you judge / boo / bench the player for a season...

i don't see how this is so hard to understand or considered not a fair response - especially given van gaal's history...

There have been rumours about De Gea leaving for ages, yet the player has always kept quiet and kept delaying extending a new contract dispite already having decided that he wanted to leave... that alone is pretty bad, it doesn't matter if he asked Van Gaal to play Romero instead of him or not. He hasn't been honest or gratful with the club and fans that have always supported him and help him develop as a keeper.

I don't really like Man Utd at all but after the Sterling debacle and now this it just shows a lack of respect to the club and the kids that look up to them
