I want to thank Manchester United fans for all the love during those 8 years.

I'm slowly becoming anti LVG, he better know what he's doing, massive improvement is needed over the last season, he's letting so many good players leave for little reason.

Rafael, Van Persie, Cleverley, Nani - gutted really to see them leave.

Rafael wasnt too good, van Persie is past it sadly Cleverley wasn't that good eiteher and Nani only performed well when the stars would allign.

agree. can't say he was overrated because no one really rated him and he certainly had a decent game now and then but yeah, certainly a weak spot if you wanna win titles in england or europe...

how old is he now? he still looks like 17...

this letter from rafael to fabio says it all. He is right about getting fitter. He hardly lasts 90mins always get subbed off after 60mins.

I guess some people will say that we failed in Manchester, that we could have defended better or been fitter.

Just think about it. The fans loved us more than hundreds of players who played just as many games (well, as many as me :D :D :D). I'll always be the little ruffian who squared up to Tevez and those Liverpool idiots.
You'll always have the Champions League final and that goal against Arsenal. Mr Ferguson used to speak about us like we were his sons, for goodness' sake. We felt the warmth of the hairdryer, never the searing heat.

I know they like full-backs to be monsters here these days and heaven knows Van Gaal has made it perfectly clear what he thinks of my heading ability, but in the time we had, we did things our way.
That has to be worth something, right?

I really don't have a clue. He still plays like he's 17 too. That is probably why van Gaal let him go.
