Romero just said for United, not sure what's the point as he's not good enough to be no 1 and Lindegaard or even Johnstone are perfectly good enough reserve keepers.

Typically van Gaal, he worked with romero at AZ Alkmaar so he prefers buying a worse player than an actually good keeper. Romero used to be way too inconsistent and physically weak to play in the premier league.

On the other hand, he will never play and isnt too expensive.

Roy Keane on Di Maria:

"It's not a football move, it's a lifestyle move. It tells me the player is weak and his wife runs his life."

Couldn't agree more.

There is no reason to sell Di Maria at a discount. Make those oil guzzlers pay 60m pounds.

Manchester United’s pursuit of Sergio Ramos has suffered a serious setback after the Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez told the defender that he would not be sold under any circumstances, during a long meeting in Guangzhou, China.

Although there are still five weeks of the transfer window remaining, the belief from some quarters is that Ramos’s departure is now impossible and United are considering their next move. Ramos has not agreed a contract renewal at the Bernabéu and it is not yet clear whether he has finally given up on the move.
