mainz really made it... place 7 means europa league (qualification) next season.
kinda unreal in this season that i expected to be very tough for us. now it'll be interesting to see which players are gonna leave us. choupo-moting is italy bound, pospech and svensson will leave the club, n. müller might be a possible target for leverkusen to replace sam...

sad news (was a rumor all season long but became more or less official today) is that our manager (thomas tuchel) will most likely leave us, too...

Let's hope your boys dont end up like another club that could deal with europa games aswell.

gl next season, changing the team's core and having to deal with playing twice a week is tough when you're not used to it

well thanks but i don't have any illusions about our international competitiveness next season. last time we had a great season (in 10/11 we even finished 5th!) we lost schürrle, holtby and fuchs and failed in europa league qualification against some random club from romania i think.
the only really promising international performance was back in 05/06, still under jürgen klopp's rule when we were eliminated by fc sevilla (with palop, dani alves, jesus navas, kanouté, saviola, luis fabiano... they won the cup that year iirc) after a brave performance...

for now i'm just happy we at least have the chance to play internationally again. we have some promising young players and it'll be a good and valuable experience for them no matter the outcome...

Mallorca will be playing away against Numancia today.

Half a season later, they aren't doing too well. A pretty bad run has left them 3 points above the relegation zone (2 above us), so it looks like they might end up struggling.

Both team are in bad form, so it's really hard to predict the outcome. I hope my boys can finally win...

Numancia 1 - 1 Mallorca

ffs, again we lose points in the last 20 minutes after having a ton of chances...

at least this time we didn't lose...

the best news is that many of the teams in the lower end of the table also lost points

Well, a few weeks ago we weren't even close to it but today's draw is our first point after 5 consecutive losses (and we're still in a streak of 9 games without winning)

we've only won 2 games in 2014, and 11 points in the whole second half of the league (worst in Segunda)
