Good playmaker abilities with decent vision and great passing range. Good technique and close control/first touch.

But he's no iniesta and no xavi either, he's something like a xabi alonso - except the workrate.

Most importantly, i don't see where he could fit in that Liverpool team which requires workhorses above all.

worldclass abilities on the ball, good passing, dribbling, and vision.

however, unfortunately (because i really like watching him) too often underperforming in crucial knockout games, has a tendency of being too careless with the ball in dangerous positions, and sometimes a questionable work ethic (but that noticeably improved during his years at bayern).

guardiola looooves him, and i think he'd fit best into a midfield with similar players and a short passing, possession focused kind of team.

Sounds a bit like the role Hendo plays in the team but more technical and less energetic.

We have slowly moved from a heavy metal and counter-attacking style of play (2015-17) to possession based (2018 - current). It's a common misconception that we are not possession based, we consistently outrank other teams in possession, missing out only to Man City in the premier league:

I think if Thiago does come, Klopp would see a Fabinho - Keita - Thiago midfield as his best midfield on paper.

Despite everybody saying/knowing he is a ghost in big games I say based on that judgement Thiago is completely overrated

He has 1-2 good scenes every 10 games - i.e. Not only in big games does he disappear

I fail to understand why Liverpool would want him
29 years, no reselling value
Much better options than Thiago available imho

That stat shows how impressive Norwich's attitude was this season. Keep focusing on their strenghts and don't resort to parking the bus. Shame it didn't work out for them.

I've read that Keita is on his way out. Apparently wants a reunion with Ralf Rangnick. Can't really blame the guy, a ghost of his former self. Showed so much promise @RB Leipzig then benched in favor of cloggers like wajlindun and ocassionaly oxlade at Liverpool.

Plus, as much as i don't like him, Henderson is vital to your lineup. Take him out and that midfield collapses. No wonder when he's been out you were absolutely shit.

Fabinho is definately on the rise, but let's not forget his liverpool start, absolute shite, plus the occasional blunder every other game.

The gossip today suggests we're going to get Thiago. I've only seen him in champions league games really, is he a world class player like they say?

Dont have much to add, nearly everything have been already said and i agree with them.
He is definately a good player, very good one, but to be considered as world class you need to perform in crucial games and thats the problem with Thiago.

His last top performance ,in a crucial game, was a few years ago vs Juventus. I wouldnt be sad at all if he leaves.

In general, he is a good one but tends to disappear
